Today I've got email from MS that my MVP status has been renewaed. This is my 11th award and I'm very excited and proud that got recognized for my community contribution for the last year. This year was challenging and probably was most different from previous years. Pandemic added own corrections to our lives. We had to change our daily routines to adopt for the new normal. Many people went to online and start working remotely. From other side it added new requirements to digital tools which help people do their work in this not very easy time. Applications like MS Teams, Zoom, etc started to play important role in our lives and growing amount of users of these apps confirm that. In our work we pay more attention to scalability and performance nowadays which will allow to handle massive users grow. All of that was difficult and challenging but at the same time very interesting from professional point of view. I've got familiar with many new technologies from O365, Azure, Sharepoint Online world which help with these goals. And tried to share my experience with other developers in my technical blog, forums, webinars, etc. That's why I'm especially glad that my contribution was recognized by MS for this challenging year. Thank you and let's continue our discovery in IT world.

Sharepoint MVP 2020
Yesterday I got email from MS about my MVP status renewal. This is 10th award for me in a row and I would like to say thanks to MS and to whole community which gives me motivation and energy to continue sharing my experience and solutions from every-day work:
Sharepoint and MS ecosystem in general evolves: now we switched to Modern Sharepoint, tight integration with Azure which becomes more and more powerful. New technologies require new skills and experience so I think it is crucial that we will continue sharing our knowledge with colleagues all over the world. Global pandemic which we faced with this year introduced new challenges for IT world: tools which we build became as crucial as never before since people switched to remote work. Performance and stability went to the 1st plan. From this perspective it is very important to take part in IT community life by answering forum questions, contributing to open source software, speaking on events, writing technical articles and so on. Hope that my contributing helped someone and would like to say thanks one more time to MS for recognizing it.

Sharepoint MVP 2019
I got very exciting email from MS today that I’ve got MVP award in Office Apps & Services category. Although it is 9th award for me it definitely has own place in my professional life and I’m very glad that MS recognizes my contribution to community life with this award. Last year a lot of work was done related with MS Graph API and OfficeDevPnP. Many issues, workarounds and solutions were discussed during last year on forums, in blog posts comments, github issues, etc. Also I continue maintenance of Camlex library which simplifies creation of dynamic CAML queries for developers. Nowadays new technologies appear very often and they allow us to do such things which were not possible before. This is great but developers’ life don’t become easier because of that – we get new and new challenges in our work every day. From this perspective community role is crucial – I can’t say how many times I by myself found solutions for technical challenges in blog posts, forums, code samples, etc. Knowing on practice how important this work is I also try to share my findings, ideas and solutions with community. Thank you MS and thank you dear readers of my blog for being with me this year. Looking forward for the new year with it’s own interesting challenges and inventive solutions.

Sharepoint MVP 2018
As you probably know MS changed MVP award renewal dates and now renewal emails are coming 1th July. I’ve got the following exciting email yesterday: Congratulations 2018-2019 Microsoft MVPs. This is my 8th award and I’m very happy to be part of the great community. In my regular work I try to participate in Sharepoint and Office 365 communities and help people to solve technical problems. Big thanks to MS for recognizing these efforts. In last few years focus has been moved from on-prem Sharepoint to Sharepoint Online, Office 365 and Azure. This is very interesting to observe how these new platforms and services grow and evolve interacting with each other. And even more interesting to take part in this process by contributing to community life and communicating with MS product teams. Thanks to all readers of my blog and see you with new challenges and solutions :)

Sharepoint MVP 2017
Hello dear readers of my blog. I’m glad to tell that became Sharepoint MVP 2017 and I’m happy that my contribution to community’s life help developers and IT professionals all over the world in their every day work. Based on my personal experience in IT (which is almost 14 years already) I would say that sharing knowledge and real-world solutions in internet is the most helpful thing which IT professionals may do for each other. Besides technical blogging I also continue to contribute in Camlex open source project which helps Sharepoint developers to build dynamic CAML queries (btw Codeplex is shutting down this year so Camlex will have new home on github soon. I will write separate post about that) and answer questions in MSDN blogs. I personally think that community related work is very important and will continue to do it also in future. And I would like to give special thanks to MS for this high recognition.

Sharepoint MVP 2016
I'm glad to announce that became Sharepoint MVP 2016: 6th time in a row. Would like to say thanks to whole community and to Microsoft for their recognition of my efforts. Last year was not easy, and I'm glad that I was able to continue to help people in their work and share my technical experience with people via blogs, forums, open source projects and so on. Sharepoint is evolving, we now work a lot in Online platform and on client side, rather than on-premise and server side like we did couple of years ago. These changes bring new challenges and new questions for developers and IT-professionals. And community support has crucial role there. I can't evaluate how much community helps me in my work, so my efforts are just modest payback for this help). Again, thanks to all readers of my blog. Let's keep charged and see you in new technical quests and issues)

Sharepoint MVP 2015
Hello dear readers of my blog. I’m pleasant to announce that I’ve became Sharepoint MVP 2015: 5th time in sequence from 2011 year. So this award is little anniversary for me and I’m glad to be with community all these years. Hope that my humble contribution helps people in their work and make the world a little bit better. Community work became part of my life, and it is not kind of real work for me, but is more kind of pleasure and a way to give something to people regardless of the countries, cultures, religions and any other differences. In our not simple time I think it is very important to keep hearts and minds open and help other people without waiting any compensations. Good that MS recognizes it, but I would continue to do that even without MVP award. Often people ask how to become MVP: my answer is teach to give, not only take.

Sharepoint MVP 2014
Yesterday I got an email from MS about renewal of my MVP award for 2014 year. This is my 4th award starting from 2011 and each year had something specific. Last year I wrote a lot of posts and articles about new version of Sharepoint and its possibilities. From the most interesting I would distinguish such features as cross-site publishing, managed metadata navigation, friendly URLs. They moved Sharepoint on the next level, but at the same time introduced many new challenges to developers and IT professionals. In my blogs and forums answers I tried to help people to overcome these challenges and I’m glad that it was evaluated by MS.

Thanks MS for the award and thanks to community for commenting my posts, downloading my open source libraries and for other support I got for my work. I’m looking forward for new challenges, interesting IT quests and inspiring development journeys.

Sharepoint MVP 2013
Today I’ve got email from MS with congratulations of being awarded for Sharepoint Server MVP in 2013 year (I wrote about previous here and here). This is my 3rd award for last 3 years and I really appreciate recognitions of my efforts for community. Sharepoint is changing and growing, in the end of 2012 new version of Sharepoint was released and it introduced new approaches and new challenges for developers. Software which we work with become more complicated and from my point of view community ecosystem has crucial role in our work. E.g. in my every day work I use blogs and forums very frequently. And I’m glad to be part of community and share my knowledge and experience via blogs, forums, open source projects, etc. in order to help to other developers.

Thanks to all readers of my blog, and thanks MS for the award. See you with more findings and articles about Sharepoint, .Net, ASP.Net, MVC and other technologies.

Sharepoint MVP 2012
Year ago I wrote first non-technical post in the blog about MVP award which I got from MS for 2011. I’m happy to announce that renewed award for 2012. First of all I would like to thank community for recognizing my efforts, because this work is done first of all for and with Sharepoint and .Net community. And of course thanks to MS which supports community activities. I would like to pay special attention on contribution to open source software. I like OSS, I see how it helps people to make better software and try to take part in it by managing my own open source projects and providing patches for other projects. Even if we work with Sharepoint and most of time we develop proprietary software in enterprise world, there is always possibility to help other people and share you knowledge. Whenever possible I try to do it and appreciate when other developers do the same, because believe that it may make our life easier and better.

In new year I will continue to share findings, tricks, reviews, workarounds, hacks, etc, etc. which will think interesting and reasonable to write about. Thanks to everyone who reads my blog. Let’s continue journey in Sharepoint and .Net worlds.
